      PEIXIAN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

PEIXIAN HOLDINGS LTD.

Peixian Holdings Ltd.(hereafter abbreviated as Peixian) is a limited company registered in Hong Kong in 2005.  The founders are Dr. David Au (Ph.D. Univ. of Wales 1972 in Fluid Mechanics) and Dr. Hauwong Ho (Ph.D. Univ. of Iowa 1964 in Hydraulics).

The career as educators for both founders started when both of them were in their sixties after a moderately successful life in business and public service, accumulated a small fortune in billion Hong Kong dollars which they intend to spend on work related to education.  In early nineties they both joined the late Mr. Liang Shangli, former vice mayor of Guangzhou in the founding of Peizheng Commercial College, now renamed Guangdong Peizheng College with a full time student body of over 15000 and known to be the best private college in South China.  Both of the Peixian founders are still serving on the board of the college until today.

In 1999, the two founders introduced the commercial courses of ABE (The Association of Business Executives from UK) into Peizheng College.   The students of Peizheng College participated in the worldwide ABE examination for the first time in December of 2000.  In 2003, the ABE Center was founded on the campus of Peizheng College and became a financially independent department of the college and serves over 200 full time students as of today.  Several of the ABE Center graduates eventually got their master's degrees from UK and some of them returned to China and became ABE Center staffs.

The success of students from the ABE Center in the commercial job market confirmed the belief of the two Peixian founders that students with skill in both commerce and English language are much more competitive in the work places than students with skill only either in commerce or in English so they decided to start promoting the ABE courses in a big way.  In 2010, Peixian added a teaching center in the downtown of Nanning, provincial capital of Guangxi and in 2011, a center in downtown of Guangzhou, the provincial capital of Guangdong.  Educational centers, by law in China, must have a minimum building area of 600 sq.m. so a center of that size can easily accommodate 300 students in one sitting.  Those downtown teaching centers aim at working people wanting to upgrade themselves.

Peixian also cooperate with well established educational institutions which like to experiment on some diversification in method of teaching and/or deviation from the conventional curriculum.  In September 2011, Peixian established an experimental ABE center on the campus of Guangxi University now having 20 students.
The biggest project undertaken by Peixian is its new college in Pingguo, Guangxi Province.  Peixian will invest at least RMB 200 million in the next five years building the college which is designed for 5000 full time students on a campus of 500 maos (330,000 sq.m. or 81 acres).  This college is scheduled to have an omtale of 1000 students in September of 2012.

All schools owned or run by Peixian will emphasize on the English skill without sacrificing on the skills needed on the job market.
